The Shearer’s Quarters at Woodfield, has to be one of the quirkiest, homely places to stay along the Great Victorian Rail Trail.

The accommodation is embedded with a long history dating back to the 1870′s where Rabbit Hunters, Shearers, Cooks and workers would live and stay at this working farm that was originally thousands of acres.

The cottages have been restored, there is a common kitchen, male and female bathroom amenities and a fantastic camp fire area.

The Woodfield Shearer’s Quarters is set in the hills of Woodfield between Merton and Bonnie Doon.

The Accommodation is simple, rustic but very clean and comfortable.

You are only 5 minutes away from Lake Eildon at Bonnie Doon and less than an hour to the top of Mt Buller.
